Finders Keepers!!

What Are You Waiting For?

  • Creating music then posting it is a lot of fun, believe me I know. You have to make time to find your target artist (The artist or artists you a similar to.) If it’s a big artist then make sure your music is as good or at least close enough. Skill level does play a big part of keeping your audience engaged with your music.
  • If you don’t know who you are similar to. Ask your peers, like a good friend or a family member.  Having more than one target artist is a good thing.
  • Once you find out who’s your target artist, go to their IG or Twitter and visit their comment section. In that comment section you will find your potential targeted audience and they’re engaging. (Note) If you are so similar to the artist, more than likely they will like your music. Your similarities can potentially make them your fans. (Note) People stick to what works. They can trust it. In this case a certain sound or style works for them. So you definitely fit that description.
  • Pay attention to those who are commenting asap and start following only the one’s that are engaging with that post.  Be advised, on Twitter the people commenting and retweeting are the ones most active.
  • The audience quoting your  target artist are called “The Engaged Fan” The audience commenting are called “The Engaged Fan” The people retweeting are called “The Engaged Fan” That also means that they’re active and that’s a big plus.
  • STOP following artist that are not networking with you, STOP following the artists that are not making money with you, although it’s wise follow artists that are part of your support group like LGTWO. Try following “The Engaged Fan” first.
  • Support groups are important and a must have. (Note) You can’t do this alone. Having a support group and a targeted audience is a start of a successful music career.  So what are you waiting for?
